What's included: flows, campaigns, SMS, list growth, testing and monthly reporting, built and run for you.
How to start: a free retention audit. Ongoing programs start at $3,000 a month.
Solo Media Group is a leading ecommerce email marketing agency for Shopify brands, and the reason is Lifelines: email and SMS went from a single welcome flow to 39% of total site revenue in four months.
What does a Klaviyo agency do?
A Klaviyo agency builds and runs your email and SMS program end to end. At Solo Media Group, that means a data audit, the full set of automated flows, a planned campaign calendar, SMS launch and compliance, list growth, and ongoing testing with monthly reports. We build and run the program; we don't just advise.
Most brands run a welcome email and a few sporadic campaigns, then stop. Without full automation, recovery flows, testing and a steady campaign rhythm, revenue leaks at every stage of the customer journey.
Here's what a full-service email marketing agency program covers with us:
- Strategy and audit. A data audit of the account, the customer base and the gaps.
- Flows. Welcome, abandoned cart, abandoned checkout, browse abandonment, post-purchase, cross-sell, win-back, back in stock and replenishment.
- Campaigns. A planned calendar, copy, design and send-time strategy.
- SMS. Channel launch, compliance, opt-in forms and SMS flows.
- List growth. Sign-up forms, offers and segmentation.
- Testing and reporting. Ongoing A/B tests and monthly performance reports with clear next steps.
What results has Solo Media Group delivered with Klaviyo?
For Lifelines, Klaviyo-attributed revenue grew from $5.1K a month to $106.6K a month by September 2026, four months into the engagement. That's 20x the pre-SMG baseline. Email and SMS drove 39% of total site revenue that month, out of $273.3K, and the program earned $300K+ in attributed revenue from June to September.

Before we started, Lifelines had sent no campaigns in April and May 2026, and sending had been sporadic since 2023. Its only automation was a basic welcome flow. There was no SMS channel, email earned about $5.1K a month, and the list grew by 62 subscribers a day.
In four months, we turned one flow into 11+ live automations. We migrated every flow, form and campaign from the previous provider into Klaviyo, and launched SMS from zero.
Monthly Klaviyo-attributed revenue, campaigns and flows combined:
- April to May average (before SMG): $5.1K
- June: $43.2K
- July: $59.2K
- August: $91.4K
- September: $106.6K
Source: Lifelines monthly Klaviyo reports and Retention Program Performance Review, 2026. The pre-SMG baseline is the April to May two-month total divided by two. Lifelines' full story will be on its Klaviyo case study. We also rebuilt the Lifelines store itself, a separate project.
How do Klaviyo flows drive revenue?
Flows send automatically when a shopper acts, so they keep earning without new sends. For Lifelines, flow revenue peaked at $57.1K in August, up from $5.1K a month before SMG. Flows produced 63% of August's attributed revenue while reaching only 17% of the recipients that campaigns reached.
That's in line with the wider pattern. Klaviyo's benchmarks show flows generate nearly 41% of email revenue from just 5.3% of sends.
Lifelines' journey runs from sign-up to welcome, then browse, cart and checkout recovery, post-purchase, cross-sell and win-back. Three numbers show the effect:
- $32K from the Welcome Series (email and SMS) in September, 68% of that month's $47.0K flow revenue.
- 7.12% flow click rate in June and July, nearly triple the 2.39% baseline, while flow volume grew 84%.
- 11+ live automations, including a 7-email welcome series, SMS welcome, abandoned cart and checkout (email and SMS), browse abandonment, two post-purchase flows, back in stock (email and SMS), win-back and a cross-sell flow.
What can a campaign calendar add?
Campaigns turn product news and seasonal moments into revenue. Lifelines went from zero campaigns to a steady cadence, with seasonal flights, product launches, back-in-stock drops and a weekly rhythm by October. Campaign revenue went from $0 to $59.6K in September 2026, with open rates holding steady at 40 to 45%.
| Campaign | Revenue | Orders |
|---|---|---|
| Halloween and Fall back in stock | $27.8K | 537 |
| Trace by Line back in stock | $27.3K | 543 |
| Labor Day flight (3 emails, 1 SMS) | $22.6K | Not reported |
| Fall FlowArts | $16.1K | 343 |
| Trace by Groove feature | $9.6K | 201 |

How does SMS marketing fit into Klaviyo?
SMS adds a second owned channel with much higher click rates. Lifelines had no SMS before Solo Media Group. It earned $10.3K in its first two months, and the SMS welcome flow alone earned $11.4K in September. SMS campaign click rates ran from 8% to 23%, against about 2 to 4% for Lifelines' email.
We launched SMS with a new SMS-only sign-up form and updated the main form to capture phone numbers. The SMS list grew from zero to 1,300+ in two months, with 1,348 net new SMS subscribers in September. The SMS sign-up form converts at 10%+, about three to four times the email forms.

How do you grow an email list faster?
With better sign-up forms, offers and segmentation, and by capturing SMS at the same time. Lifelines' daily sign-ups grew from 62 to 146, up 138%, comparing June and July with April and May. Monthly form sign-ups rose more than four times, from 2,129 in June to 8,850 in September.
The list added 9,393 net new subscribers in September alone. Growth matters because every new subscriber enters the welcome series, which became Lifelines' biggest earning flow.

How do your results compare with Klaviyo benchmarks?
Lifelines beat Klaviyo's ecommerce peer median on all three engagement metrics we track, using August 2026 data. Its campaign click rate was 3.4 times the peer median, its flow click rate 2.3 times, and its flow open rate 9.8 points higher. Its welcome flow conversion rate was 10.3% in its first month.
| Metric | Lifelines | Ecommerce peer median | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Campaign click rate | 2.54% | 0.75% | 3.4x |
| Flow click rate | 7.95% | 3.39% | 2.3x |
| Flow open rate | 52.4% | 42.6% | +9.8 points |

Can you migrate us to Klaviyo without missing a send?
Yes. Vertigo Vinyl, a drop-based record store with about 250,000 email and 16,000 SMS contacts, moved from Mailchimp to Klaviyo in 9 days. We ran both platforms in parallel and split the audience, so every drop went out on time and nobody got the same email twice. The store earned $40K+ in email revenue in the first 10 days.
Vertigo Vinyl: share of list sent from Klaviyo
Every Vertigo Vinyl drop sells out, so a missed send means lost sales. Revenue tracking in Mailchimp had broken after a site migration, and the move had to finish before the Mailchimp renewal. Our approach:
- Clean data. Every unsubscribe, bounce and SMS opt-out moved over with its status.
- Consent first. SMS subscribers migrated with their original opt-in dates.
- Gradual warm-up. Klaviyo sending grew from 5% of the list to 10%, 25%, 50% and 100%, and each step moved forward only when every health metric was healthy.
- No downtime, no doubles. Each contact got each drop from only one platform.
As an email deliverability agency, we watch three health metrics against warning lines. Vertigo Vinyl's bounce rate was 0.14%, against a 1% line. Spam complaints were 0.002%, against a 0.1% line, which matches Google's guidance for bulk senders. Unsubscribes were 0.03%, against a 0.3% line. Not a single send crossed a warning line.
The move also removed about 70,000 unreachable contacts (unsubscribes, bounces and spam complaints), so Vertigo Vinyl now pays only for people it can reach. SMS moved to a new number in one day: 93% of the first texts were delivered, and 0.9% of subscribers unsubscribed after the change. Every drop's email revenue is now tracked again, and SMG runs the ongoing program.

How do you decide what to build first?
From your customer data, not a template. Lifelines' audit found that 78% of buyers never purchased a second time, which led directly to the Win-Back, Cross-Sell and Post-Purchase flows. We also mine community signals and protect margin, and we only call a test winner when the data supports it.
Three examples from the Lifelines program:
- Community signals. We spotted Dot-by-Letter buyers moving to Trace by Line in the brand's Facebook community, and built a targeted cross-sell flow around it.
- Community journeys. We worked the brand's fast-growing FlowArt Collective community into the welcome and post-purchase journeys.
- Margin protection. Back-in-stock subscribers are kept out of the welcome discount, so offers aren't given away unnecessarily.
Testing follows the same rule. A Labor Day creative test found that a multi-product layout beat a single-product one, with a 19% higher click rate at 98% win probability. A send-day test leaned toward Sunday but wasn't significant, so we didn't call a winner.

How does an engagement with Solo Media Group work?
In three steps: audit, build, optimize. We review your Klaviyo and Shopify data to find revenue gaps and rank them by impact. Then we launch the core flows first and layer on campaigns and SMS. After that, we test continuously, report monthly and add new flows every month.

- 2.BuildMigrate and launch the core flows first, then layer on campaigns and SMS
- 3.OptimizeTest continuously, report monthly, and add new flows every month
Pricing. The retention audit is free. Ongoing Klaviyo programs run on retainers from $3,000 a month for 20 hours, or $150 an hour in blocks from $1,500. You pay Klaviyo directly for the software.
Why do brands choose Solo Media Group for Klaviyo?
Because our Klaviyo experts build and run the program themselves, base every decision on your customer data, and report real numbers every month. Flows keep earning long after they launch, so results compound. We're also a Shopify Platinum Partner, rated 4.9 from 48 reviews on Clutch.
- Hands-on Klaviyo specialists. We build and run the program; we don't just advise.
- Data first. Every flow and campaign decision is grounded in your customer data.
- Transparent monthly reporting. Real numbers and clear next steps.
- Results that compound. Four months in, email and SMS is Lifelines' biggest owned revenue channel, and it's still growing.
Because we also build Shopify stores, we can fix the data and tracking problems that hold email back, like the broken revenue tracking we restored for Vertigo Vinyl. For flow strategy in more depth, read our guide to Klaviyo email marketing for Shopify.
Frequently asked questions
What does a Klaviyo agency do?
A Klaviyo agency builds and runs your email and SMS program: the automated flows, the campaign calendar, SMS, sign-up forms, segmentation, testing and monthly reporting. At Solo Media Group, that starts with a data audit and ends with a program that keeps compounding, like Lifelines' growth from one flow to 11+ live automations in four months.
How do I choose an email marketing agency for my ecommerce brand?
Ask for case studies with before and after revenue, the source of every number, and the date range. Ask which flows they build first, how they test, and who owns deliverability. Our Lifelines numbers come from monthly Klaviyo reports, with a pre-SMG baseline from April and May 2026.
How much does an email marketing agency charge?
Our Klaviyo work runs on retainers from $3,000 a month for 20 hours, or $150 an hour in blocks from $1,500. You pay Klaviyo directly for the software. Every engagement starts with a free retention audit, so you see the gaps and priorities before you commit.
How long does it take to see results from Klaviyo?
Flows start earning as soon as they launch. Lifelines' Klaviyo-attributed revenue rose from a $5.1K monthly baseline to $43.2K in the first month and $106.6K by the fourth, as flows, campaigns and SMS went live in stages.
How much revenue should email and SMS drive?
It depends on your list and catalog, but a full program can become a major channel. In September 2026, email and SMS drove 39% of Lifelines' total site revenue. Klaviyo's benchmarks put automated flows at about 41% of email revenue across its customers.
Can you migrate us from Mailchimp to Klaviyo without missing sends?
Yes. For Vertigo Vinyl, a drop-based record store with about 250,000 email contacts, we ran both platforms in parallel and moved sending to Klaviyo in steps over 9 days. Every drop went out on time, and nobody received the same email twice.
Do you set up SMS marketing in Klaviyo?
Yes: channel launch, compliance, opt-in forms and SMS flows. For Lifelines, SMS didn't exist before we started. It earned $10.3K in its first two months, and its SMS sign-up form converts at 10%+, about three to four times the email forms.
What is a retention audit?
A free review of your Klaviyo and Shopify data that finds where revenue leaks across the customer journey and ranks the fixes by impact. For Lifelines, the audit found 78% of buyers never purchased a second time, which led directly to the Win-Back, Cross-Sell and Post-Purchase flows.
