Discount Engine Modernization & VIP B2B Migration
Huk Gear operated a legacy discounting system split between a custom POS discount app and Shopify Script Editor online, both driven by an intricate tag structure. With Shopify deprecating Script Editor by August 2025 and enforcing new requirements through Shopify Functions and POS UI Extensions, the system had to be rebuilt from the ground up — without disrupting daily operations across more than 15 store locations and over 100 internal users. We inherited, updated, and improved their discount systems — across both online and POS — while transitioning their VIP site to Shopify’s native B2B solution. All updates were made with one principle in mind: respect the existing workflows and avoid unnecessary change management.
