THE CHALLENGE

Huk Gear’s discount system relied on legacy tools—a custom POS app and Shopify Script Editor—both built on complex tag logic and used across 15+ store locations. With Shopify deprecating Script Editor and shifting to Shopify Functions and POS UI Extensions, the system needed a complete rebuild. The challenge was to modernize the infrastructure without disrupting daily operations or requiring extensive retraining for over 100 internal users.

THE APPROACH

We rebuilt Huk Gear’s discount architecture from the ground up, upgrading both POS and online systems using Shopify Functions and POS UI Extensions. Our team ensured real-time, location-specific discounting while maintaining existing workflows and user familiarity. In parallel, we transitioned Huk Gear’s VIP site to Shopify’s native B2B platform—streamlining management and future-proofing their entire discount ecosystem with minimal operational impact.
