What sales tax applies to a Las Vegas Shopify store?

Las Vegas orders are taxed at 8.375%, the same rate across all of Clark County, including Henderson and North Las Vegas. Nevada's statewide minimum is 6.85%, made up of a state tax, a local school support tax and city-county relief taxes. Counties add their own on top. Nevada taxes by the buyer's delivery address.

Remote sellers collect Nevada sales tax once their sales into the state pass $100,000 or reach 200 transactions in the current or previous year. Unlike some states, Nevada counts marketplace sales toward that total, so brands selling on Amazon as well as Shopify can cross it sooner.

Selling from Nevada needs a seller's permit, which costs $15 per location, and new sellers may also need to post a security deposit.
