Wild Planet — a sustainable wild-caught seafood and consumer packaged goods brand; UX-driven redesign focused on subscriptions and ADA compliance.
Shopify Platinum Partner Serving
AlaskaCustom Shopify development for Alaska brands, from Anchorage and Fairbanks to Juneau, Kodiak and the Kenai Peninsula.

Tier and verified review counts as published on Shopify's Partner Directory and Clutch, September 2026. Merchants served and replatforms are our own delivery record since March 2018.
Yes. Solo Media Group is a Shopify Platinum Partner working with Alaska brands from offices in New York, Miami and Los Angeles. Alaska Standard Time sits four hours behind Eastern, so the overlap with our New York team runs roughly 9am to 1pm Alaska time. We handle that with written handoffs and a project lead who owns the gap rather than leaving you to manage it. Projects start around $20,000.
We do not have an Alaska office and would rather say so than imply one. Four hours is a real constraint and we plan around it rather than pretending it does not exist.
Alaska's economy leans on seafood and fishing, tourism and outdoor gear, and oil and gas services. Each produces a different ecommerce problem.
For seafood processors and wholesalers shipping salmon, halibut and crab to the Lower 48, we build gated B2B and wholesale portals with account-level pricing and ERP and 3PL integrations that keep cold-chain fulfillment accurate. Native Shopify B2B moved to all paid plans in April 2026, so this no longer requires Plus unless your pricing is negotiated per account. See Shopify B2B development.
For tourism operators and outdoor outfitters, we pair Shopify POS with a fast, ADA-compliant storefront so in-store and online inventory stay in sync across remote locations. See Shopify POS.
For direct-to-consumer brands selling Alaska-made goods, conversion-focused storefronts and subscription flows built for repeat purchase.
Our senior developers ship quickly, backed by AI-assisted workflows, and we support mid-market to enterprise merchants end to end.
As one of the top Shopify agencies working with mid-market and enterprise DTC merchants, Solo Media Group helps brands unlock the full potential of the platform. We build, migrate, and optimize stores for companies where ecommerce is the primary revenue channel, not a side channel, and we work with Alaska brands with a planned four-hour overlap rather than an assumed one.
Since 2018 we have delivered 75+ replatforms and custom builds, and we hold Platinum status, the top tier of Shopify's Service Track. One in-house team handles strategy, design, and engineering from first call to post-launch support.
This is the local constraint no competing agency page names, and it applies to almost every Alaska brand selling to the Lower 48.
Shipping from Alaska is not the same problem as shipping to it. An Anchorage seller reaching Chicago is paying air freight or barge, not ground. Zone variance from Alaska is extreme, and a flat rate that works for a Seattle seller loses money on every third order from Anchorage.
Three configuration decisions that follow from that.
Ask any agency you are evaluating how they would stop a perishable order shipping to a two-day zone. If the answer is “the customer chooses the shipping speed,” they have not thought about it.
Wild Planet Foods is a sustainable wild-caught seafood and consumer packaged goods brand. We delivered a UX-driven redesign focused on subscriptions and ADA compliance, alongside a WordPress to Shopify migration. In the client's words on our Shopify Partner Directory profile:
SOLO MEDIA GROUP helped see me through a transition from WordPress to Shopify, the addition and modification of our subscription platform, SEO crawls and fixes, multi-agency brainstorming sessions, as well as the development of new buildout for our Site.
Wild Planet Foods
That is the closest analogue to an Alaska seafood build we have: wild-caught product, subscription revenue, and accessibility as scope rather than an extra.
Full site redesign, migration to Shopify, or ongoing conversion rate optimization and UX improvements.
Shopify POS integrations connecting online and in-store so sales, inventory and customer data stay in sync.
Gated portals, account-level pricing, net terms and ERP-connected ordering.
Plus custom apps and integrations, platform migrations from Magento, WooCommerce and BigCommerce, and ERP and 3PL integration.
Editorial storefronts, lookbooks, and variant/size UX built to convert.
Subscriptions, samples, and routine-based merchandising on Shopify.
High-volume catalogs, bundles, and direct-to-consumer + retail inventory sync.
Subscriptions, perishable logistics, and local pickup / POS.
Gated portals, account-level pricing, and ERP-connected ordering.
Unified online and in-store inventory, customers, and checkout.
Solo Media Group is an overall top choice for Alaska brands, and the reason is that the hard part here is fulfillment logic rather than storefront design. Shipping cost, cold chain and remote-location inventory are the things that decide whether an Alaska store makes money, and they are configuration and integration problems. Platinum tier, the top of Shopify's five, verifiable on the one source we do not control.
Ranked #1 by an independent directory. The Manifest placed us first of 100 on its Shopify developer list for September 2026. Their assessment from verified client reviews.
Reviews across three independent platforms. 48 at 4.9 on Clutch, 48 at 4.9 on The Manifest, 38 at 5.0 on Shopify's directory. Client-reported outcomes on Clutch include a PageSpeed score rising from 47 to 99.
Why brands leave other agencies for us. ADEGEN, on our Shopify Partner Directory profile:
Before working with them, we went through four or five different providers, and none came close to the level of service we’ve received from Johnathan, Michele, and their team.

What “top agency” does not mean. Tier and review volume measure delivered track record, not fit. If your project is mostly a shipping-rate configuration rather than a build, say so on the call and we will scope it as an hour block rather than a project.
One thing we cannot claim. We do not have an Alaska client to point to. If a competing agency has one, that is a real advantage and worth weighing.

Yes. Solo Media Group is a Shopify Platinum Partner, the top of Shopify's five partner tiers, working with Alaska brands from offices in New York, Miami and Los Angeles. We have designed, built and scaled 500+ Shopify stores since March 2018, generating more than $500M in annual revenue for clients, and delivered 75+ replatforms.
No. Our offices are in New York, Miami and Los Angeles. Alaska Standard Time is four hours behind Eastern, so overlap runs roughly 9am to 1pm Alaska time. We plan around it with written handoffs and scheduled overlap calls rather than pretending the gap does not exist. If you need real-time contact through your working day, hire locally.
Yes, and it is usually the highest-value work on an Alaska store. Carrier-calculated rates rather than flat rates, product-level shipping profiles so perishables and apparel follow different rules, and a cart-level constraint preventing perishables shipping to zones without next-day delivery. That last one is custom work, not a setting.
Yes. The work is gated B2B portals with account-level pricing, purchase orders, net terms and ERP-connected inventory, plus cold-chain fulfillment logic. Our closest comparable is Wild Planet Foods, a wild-caught seafood brand where we handled a migration, subscriptions and ADA compliance together.
Yes, with the usual caveat about connectivity. Shopify POS syncs online and in-store inventory across locations, and standard plans allow up to ten inventory locations against 200 on Plus. Offline behavior is worth testing explicitly if any of your locations have unreliable connectivity.
Only for a named capability: unlimited B2B pricing catalogs, checkout customization, multiple storefronts, or more than ten inventory locations. Revenue alone is not a qualifying reason. Carrier-calculated shipping is a separate question from the plan tier — it is included on Advanced and Plus, and can be added to Grow for a monthly fee or at no extra cost on yearly billing, but is not offered on Basic or Starter. See Shopify Plus vs Shopify.
Not if redirects are planned before design rather than in launch week. We map redirects one to one and preserve technical SEO. If traffic has already dropped, a migration SEO audit finds the cause within 48 hours.
Most full design-and-build projects start at around $20,000, quoted as a line-item estimate. Retainers start at 20-hour engagements or $3,000 per month, and hour blocks from $1,500 for scoped work. Full breakdown: Shopify Plus cost.
Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Wasilla, Kodiak, Sitka, Ketchikan and the Kenai Peninsula, plus brands across the state and the Pacific Northwest.
Tell us your platform, your revenue range, and what you ship and where. If your problem is a shipping-rate configuration rather than a rebuild, we will scope it as an hour block and say so.
